Simple Shrimp Recipes for Everyone's Health.
If you've never cooked shrimp
before, you'll be happy to know that there are easy shrimp recipes available in
cookbooks and the internet. For a
healthy shrimp recipe that's quick and easy, you can sauté garlic and onions in
olive oil, then sauté the shrimp and serve it over a bowl of pasta. Shrimp is also delicious in white sauce. A simple white sauce recipe calls for equal
parts of butter and flour to make a roux, then adding milk or cream. Add cooked shrimp, celery and asparagus, and you have
a scrumptious shrimp recipe that you can enjoy. Add 1 to 2 shaved carrots, shaved with a potato peeler, for that added Vitamin K and beta carotine.
I like to use lime juice or
lemon or a combination of both in my shrimp delicacies. Take 1/3 cup EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) + 2
tbsp. of lime juice + 2 tsp. dill weed and 1 tsp Parsley in a 1 cup measuring
cup then stir it up and get it warm in a Microwave for 2 minutes. Mince 1 garlic clove and add it together with
the sauce you just made. Let chill and
dip shrimp or cook them in this.
It is helpful to remember that you never
want to overcook shrimp. It only takes a
few minutes to grill or sauté shrimp.
You can marinate the shrimp before cooking in the marinade that I described above if you want it to absorb more
flavor. EVOO helps to lower you LDL (Low Density Lipids) cholesterol in moderate proportions. When cooking shrimp in a stew,
add the shrimp near the end of the cooking process in order to not overcook.
